Mission Statement.

Your Writing Consultant was founded in 2020 on the principle that all students, regardless of academic level or ability, should have the opportunity to fully express themselves through their writing.

I believe that learning how to write insightfully and clearly is the key to success—not only in academia, but in all that you do. Here at Your Writing Consultant, my goal is to be the bridge between your ideas and the page.

I have been a predoctoral instructor of rhetoric and composition at the university level since 2021, and have over five years of experience as a scholarly writing tutor, ESL tutor, and college admissions essay coach.

I obtained my B.A. in Anthropology and Written Arts at Bard College in 2020, graduating with the highest honors and am pursuing my MFA in prose studies at the University of Washington, Seattle. In addition to my extensive writing tutoring background, I have published widely online and have worked in the editorial sector of the NYC publishing industry. My own writing has received accolades such as the Mary McCarthy Prize and the Franz Boas/Ruth Benedict Prize.

I am certified in TESOL (Teachers of English to Students of Other Languages) Education and dedicated to helping students of all stripes write their way to success. I am focused on providing accessible routes to higher education for aspiring students.

Whether you are seeking direction with your college admissions essay or a qualified instructor for writing, reading, and speaking as an ESL student, I am here for you.

Writing can be an intimidating process—especially if your essay is your ticket into higher education. I get it! As someone who has been through the competitive admissions process for both undergraduate and graduate school, I know better than anyone how much rides on your ability to communicate and market yourself. My aim is to demystify the process, regardless if your goal is college admissions or simply improving your academic writing.

To me, the most rewarding experience is to see writers like you take pride in their work.
